Abstract

Real Work Lectures (KKN) are a form of student service to the community and are one part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. It is hoped that students will become more mature in applying knowledge according to their scientific discipline in Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities. The implementation of Real Work Lectures (KKN) creates more effective education through education that is directly experienced by students to be applied in society, so it is not just material, but more importantly the application of theories obtained in college is applied in the community environment. Students are required to look for problems through the mechanisms of their respective scientific interdisciplinary work systems. Through this Real Work Lecture (KKN) activity, it is hoped that it can be used as a bridge for students to have a real role in efforts to prevent stunting in Mamuju Regency, especially in Papalang Village, Papalang District, Mamuju Regency. Stunting is an assessment of nutritional status based on indicators of body length according to age (PB/U) or height according to age (TB/U) as well as anthropometric results showing Z-Score values < -2 to -3 (short/stunned) and < -3 ( very short/severe stuned). As a result of lack of nutritional intake over a long period of time, stunting becomes a chronic malnutrition problem which results in impaired child growth and development, namely shorter height below normal age. Stunting is caused by age-inappropriate linear growth disorders, which indicate a long-term occurrence as well as the cumulative effects of inadequate nutritional intake, poor health, and lack of adequate care. The role of Mamuju Muhammadiyah University students in partnership with BKKBN, representatives of West Sulawesi Province, is faced with being able to provide concrete evidence in efforts to prevent stunting in Papalang Village, Papalang District, Mamuju Regency.
